Commissions are a tricky thing for an artist. I for one love doing them so long as I can fully connect with the subject being proposed - as that is the only way one can breathe life into a painting. For portraits, I have decided to only paint young children and the elderly in my black and white style. I would need a fair sized collection of images to work from, or for an additional cost I can arrange to come out and photograph the ‘model’ without a problem. For commissioned landscapes and animals I request full creative freedom in bringing your concept to life, so that my brush can lead me where it may.
